    Dear Member,

It is me again, you probably wonder why that dude never stops bugging me. Well, I hope you are not thinking like that, and instead get really excited about whatever that dude might want to share.

First of all I would like to thank the few that actually updated your records in the database. It is really helpful for me to have the records updated, and with correct data at the right spot.

At least I'd like to have the country field set to correct data. I need this so I can get the chapters all right set up. As you probably know we have a structure like this:

IAMCT World - consists of myself as the World President, and the IAMCT Region Leaders, and the IAMCT ATT Board

IAMCT Region - We have six regions; Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America. I hope every member lives in a country belonging to any of these regions. If not, get in touch with me so I can get it sorted out. Actually we have a region, and chapter called Direct which is led by me under the IAMCT World body. Every region consist of a board consisting of a Region Leader, and one seat per chapter.

IAMCT Chapter - There should be one chapter per country we have MCTs in. A chapter consists of the members in that chapter, and should have a board of at least three IAMCT Ambassadors; filling the roles of a Chapter Leader, Chapter Cashier, and a Chapter Secretary.

What country you belong to, and region, is based on this list from the U.N.

    http://unstats.un.org/unsd/methods/m49/m49regin.htm

Americanas is divided into North America and South America.

Please make sure the country is listed in the database as it is named in the list from UN.

And secondly, please look all over the social internet about updates about the MCT Summits this year. There is happening events all over the World, and I want to make sure you don't miss anything. I'm all excited about the summits in Europe and Africa, the teams are doing a really good job and more info on this will come in the near future.

Thirdly, I'm not aware if all of you know that we as a Community have an IAMCT Approved Techical Trainer course and certification, IAMCT-ATT. This course and certification is approved by Microsoft Lerning as a requirement for becoming an MCT. Today we are just a few MCTs that can deliver this course, and I would love to have this scale all over the World. At least that we can have a Group of IAMCT-ATT Instructors in every region. We are trying to have this two day course, and examination at every MCT Summit we as IAMCT are delivering. To become an IAMCT-ATT Instructor you need to fulfill these requirements:

    1) At least five years as an Active MCT

    2) Attended at least one IAMCT-ATT training as an IAMCT-ATT Student, or as an IAMCT-ATT Instructor Trainee

    3) Deliver an IAMCT-ATT course as an Assisting Instructor together with an certified IAMCT-ATT Instructor as the Lead Instructor.

    4) Deliver an IAMCT-ATT course as the Lead Instructor, with an certified IAMCT-ATT Instructor as the Assisting Instructor.

    5) Become evaluated by the IAMCT-ATT Board, and if ready becoming certified as an IAMCT-ATT Instructor

An IAMCT-ATT course consist of two, or three, days of practical training in and about the role of an MCT, how to interact with students and how to deliver training. It's focused on the soft skills of succeeding in the classroom. Prior to the course, and under the course, the student creates the examination presentation. This should be a 20 minute session containing slides, talks, demos, and other Tools and techniques we as a trainer use to deliver Our messages. This session is evaluated by a group of experienced MCTs, three, five, or more members of the jury that evaluate the examinee in ten different skill domains.

If you attended any of the IAMCT organized MCT Summits you probably heard about the MCT Jury. If you are willing to be part of this jury duty you are welcome to connect with the instructors of the upcoming IAMCT-ATT classes, or directly with me.

Finally, this short message became huge. I'm sorry for that, but I hope you enjoyed it anyways. I would like you guys to help me and all the other IAMCT Ambassadors to help Us grow and form this Community. It would be really awesome if every single MCT all over the World was a member. It would also be awesome if we figure out together what the Community is about. For me, as being one of the founders, it was about bringing MCTs together, physically or virtually. This in forms of online communities, and in the form of Summits, and in the form of small local gatherings. To remove the borders between us, both geographically as well as locally. We all share something, we have a passion of delivering training on Microsoft technology, we can all learn from each other, and we can all support each other. Within the Community we are all peers, even if we are working with competing training centers. I believe in "Sharing is Caring", and "if one share to others, others will share back".

    Best regards,

    the dude

a.k.a. Mattias Lind, IAMCT World President

For the last weeks we actually have a boost in member registrations. This makes me tremendous happy as this makes it possible to reach more regions, and nations. If you're interested in participating in organize events, meetings; both online as well as onsite, build networks and such other "duties" required as a country leader, or if you know someone that could fit for this position. Please let me know about that! We need country leaders, and ambassadeurs, that can act as the national hub for IAMCT.

We are in the middle of updating our webpages to reflect our growing number of members around the world. This includes some re-branding of the site, and relocation of materials on the site. The site is now branded IAMCT to reduce the confusion on what organization you are registering for (IAMCT is arranged in regions and chapters).

Member organisations such as MCT Europe and MCT Latin America have been delegated a sub-area on the site. Please mind during this transition there might be information missing, outdated information and lost information.

We appreciate your patience while we re-decorate our site!
